As we know from fairy tales and legends, there have been many kinds of little people in this country as well. In the caves of the mountains lived the Wildmännli or miners, who were well-disposed towards man, but bitterly avenged every evil human deed, lived rather shyly and hidden, and were conspicuous by their long, shaggy hair.
